The Vampire and the Invader 2I had a “morning after” routine. Catian had a way of sealing the bite so blood doesn't get everywhere, but I normally had some on the corner of my shirt. I soaked my shirt in the sink while I ate a lot of carbs for breakfast. Egg sandwich with sausage, cheese and on a bagel. When I was done, I scrubbed the corner of the shirt until the blood stain was dull enough to give to my mom for laundry without her getting suspicious. Then, I took a shower. I carefully blotted the blood on my skin, and just relaxed in the shower, laying on the floor of the tub, letting the water roll down my skin. The Vampire and the InvaderCatian was coming tonight. Three blood red roses had been dropped on my doorstep this morning. I was nervous, as I always was. What if Tom came? I hadn't been able to tell Catian about him, I was too embarrassed, and worried that one of them would get hurt if I told either about the other. In Toms case, I wouldn't care if he got hurt, but I would pay if he found out about Catian. Because Catian would never kill Tom, never really solve that problem.
